Vincent Belliveau's session to cover 2010 learning trends such as blended learning, social learning, and the integration of learning with other talent management solutions
MUNICH, Germany - 2 February 2010 - Cornerstone OnDemand Inc. (stand no. D18), the specialist in on-demand learning and talent management software and services, today announced that Vincent Belliveau, Cornerstone's EMEA General Manager, is speaking at LEARNTEC, held 2-4 February at the Karlsruhe Messe und Kongress Zentrum in Karlsruhe, Germany. Belliveau's session, titled "Key Learning Trends Accelerated by the Recession," is scheduled for today at 12:05 p.m. CET in LEARNTEC's DM Arena.
"Companies in Germany and across Europe are faced with the challenge of reducing their investment in training and human resources whilst providing their workforce with the enablement and development needed to react to fast-changing market conditions, globalisation and an increasingly competitive marketplace," said Belliveau. "Key trends have emerged in response to this challenge, such as the increased use of blended learning practices and the use of enterprise social networking tools to foster informal learning and knowledge sharing. Other trends include the alignment of performance and talent management initiatives with development opportunities to identify and retain high performers or employees in critical roles, and the use of Software-as-a-Service solutions that provide employees with personalised, portal-based access to learning."
The leading international trade fair and convention for vocational education, learning and information technology, the 18th annual LEARNTEC conference provides information about different approaches to learning and showcases solutions for vocational education, e-learning and knowledge management. Belliveau is among the experts from the realms of business, science and academia who are presenting at the event.
